As a brand, we have been inspired the current environmental crisis the world is facing. One of the major highlights for us was “The Tell the Truth” movement in London. Our passion for the planet has driven us to join the “cause for change.
We have made a concise pledge and moved our company ethics to becoming, greener & fully sustainable. We have set-up an environmental crisis charity Unique Unity, supporting global eco-causes. We are making the change for our all our products and accessories to become eco-friendly & 100% biodegradable.
In Nottingham there was a 33% reduction in carbon emissions since 2005, beating a target set by Nottingham City Council to reach a 26% reduction by 2020.
The University of Nottingham has been placed No.1 in the UK and takes pride in being 2nd most sustainable universities in the world as shown in the data of Indonesia’s Green Metric, for the past three years. It has never been out of the top two places since its inception.
Our passion towards the cause, took us to Nottingham as a target location for us to reach out to like-minded people to showcase our Nutrisiti Eco-series. Our mission was to attract not only students but raise awareness to the wider public at large.
We discovered a perfect town center student hang-out, to which we took our amazing eco squad - club mob dancers to perform. The soundtrack included a thought-provoking speech from Greta Thunberg who is fast becoming the figure head of the environmental movement at the age of 16. “We are in the beginning of a mass extinction. And all you can talk about is money and fairytales of eternal economic growth. How dare you!”
This is just the beginning as Uunique are on a mission towards a greener, better world.
